Took me a while to settle on a name for my new wiki creation but finally — after pinging about a million names off Chris and cursing domain squatters anew — I finally settled on the name Shift Edit. It’s a shift in how you edit a web page so the name seemed to fit. Also, it has the cool shorthand ^Edit. So from now on if you hear me talking about ^editing something, you know what I’m talking about. If you don’t get the circumflex (^) then you’re probably reading the wrong blog
To celebrate, I also picked up the domain shiftedit.com. Don’t get overly excited (yet); it just redirects to the "My Releases" section of this blog for now
If you’re looking for the newest demo of ^Edit, the newest version as of today is 0.1.5 but make sure to grab my RSS to stay on top of future releases. I hope to open up a bug queue sometime soon and get posting on Freshmeat.
^Enjoy
Dude, this is great! I love the direction you’ve gone with this and the name couldn’t be more appropriate. I’ve been keeping an eye on it’s progress and will continue to do so. Keep up the good work. I think you’re definitely onto something here. Good luck with it.
^Thanks
Okay, I gotta stop with the circumflexes
