Client-Side crypt(3) Using Javascript

By Jonathan + September 21st, 2005

My online stamp collection is feeling safer already. But my teddy bear collection is still dangerously unprotected

JAVACRYPT: CLIENT-SIDE crypt(3) USING JAVASCRIPT
This Javascript allows you to calculate the encrypted password generated by the UNIX function crypt(3) on your computer without using an online script in PHP, PERL, shell, or any other server-side script.

Caching XmlHttpRequest Wrapper

By Jonathan + September 21st, 2005

Caccche, just a lit’l bit, CACHE, just a lit’l bit, CACHE, just a lit’l bit… What? You can’t hear that music? You can’t spell funky without fun. Or dog without do. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M TELLING YOU?! *passes out on floor*

Drawing Lines in JavaScript

By Jonathan + September 21st, 2005

I’ve never heard of a good way to draw lines in Javascript…until this guy rocked my world! Why didn’t anyone think of this a long time ago?! I don’t know about you, but I sat home every night trying to come up with a good way to draw lines and I never got [...]

Opera is Free

By Jonathan + September 20th, 2005

With Opera now being (banner-)free (I knew something was up when they started handing out free licenses a couple weeks back), I finally had to try it out.  I gotta say, I like a lot of what I see…Kinda like a tranny with "her" pants on.  But trannies also have p3nises and that’s what [...]

Wiki for Finding Web Service and Open APIs

By Jonathan + September 20th, 2005

I really respect what this guy is doing. You know, in a totally straight and manly way. Like in a celebrating-the-big-win-by-beating-up-nerds way, not a reach-around-in-a-public-bathroom kinda way. Stop looking at me like that
The Geocoding APIs will be especially useful for ^edit :-)  Check out this image that automagically displays your country [...]

Insane ponderings of a crazed moose

By Jonathan + September 20th, 2005

This guy should really win a Nobel prize for this app. Or 10 minutes with a beaver and some peanut butter. I haven’t decided yet

Mr. Average Blog at Jalecode
Now that everyone and their cardiologist has a blog, good blog names are hard to come by. I’ve noticed, actually, that they follow a [...]

Ajax Dictionary

By Jonathan + September 20th, 2005

Now here’s a use for a livesearch that actually makes a lot of sense! Google’s livesearch is really just a parlour trick. Using the same technique for a dictionary is handy if you’re not quite sure on the spelling of a particular word.

There’s a thesaurus too. Now isn’t that canonical you maudlin [...]

OMG! This person is totally ripping off my Javascript Error Logger There is no chance that two people on the Web would come up with the same idea, using the same technique, that many others have done before…wait a minute. I’m getting Johnny Cockran; I might need some help here

Either [...]

Zenphoto

By Jonathan + September 20th, 2005

The age of simple, clean software is upon us, comrade! This looks like a great photo gallery web-app, complete with user comments. Even has some Ajax editing built in
It might go very nicely with a clean little upload program…and a nice chianti *hissss*

Dont Buy Junk

By Jonathan + September 19th, 2005

Gotta love this site for finding the best bang for you buck.  Again with the h00ker jokes, I know….Well you try to be original blogging another f*#king review site!
Seriously though, the way they narrow down your search with "I care more about", "my price limit is", "only show me products that have" is [...]

Fixing Connect360 on the New Xbox Experience
