I was planning to refactor part of my backend to support different types of media, but I was too lazy to boot up Parallels so I could run SQL Server Management Studio to make the backend changes. So instead, I just threw some regular expressions into the code to convert YouTube urls into embedded videos. Now you can add videos to a thread by just pasting the YouTube URL into the field (with some descriptive text if you want).
