Tonight I watched the screener of Michael Moore’s new movie SiCKO (2007). I’m sure there are enough blog entries out there devoted to praising this film already, but I’d like to add my voice to many others thanking Mr. Moore for making this movie. It touched me deeply and it deserves all the acclaim it’s receiving.
I urge everyone to see it (in theatres). Whether you live in the U.S. or not, it has a wonderful message about how everyone around the world is connected. The U.S. healthcare system needs to change now.
I contributed the regular price of theatre admission to the Union Rescue Mission for their generous work, some of which was depicted in the film. I urge everyone who downloads the movie or sees a screener, to donate something to the charities taking care of the many people being left behind by a cruel system. If you are in the U.S., here’s some other stuff you can do.
