CTV Christmas Party

By Jonathan + December 13th, 2007

CTV went all out with their Christmas party this year at Koolhaus/Guvernment. Nice job with the Russian theme, but I think everyone would have preferred some non-Russian food. I also don’t think chicken, deserts, salmon, caviar, duck, beef, and open-bar mix

Yes, you can download TV on iTunes Canada…

By Jonathan + December 12th, 2007

CTV and CBC helped iTunes Canada launch their new television store today. I guess I can download shows for $1.99 onto my computer or iPod now. That’s great, except that doesn’t really help me get it onto my TV where I want to watch it…unless someone wants to dish out $349 to buy [...]

Xbox 360 Convergence: Is it here?

By Jonathan + December 12th, 2007

I just realized that last night I had the ultimate convergence experience on my Xbox 360:

I turned on my Xbox 360. I checked what my friends were playing, and decided to play some Halo 3. I played for a while, when a friend’s MSN message popped up on the screen. I waited [...]

Pumpkin on the balcony

By Jonathan + December 8th, 2007

This pumpkin was purchased in early October and its still out on my balcony. Now, I’m afraid to touch it. I’m pretty sure it’s just going to collapse into a ball of foul-smelling goo. Do you think anyone would notice if I pushed it over the edge?

I think they might want to make these cameras a little less obvious

Back in January, I blogged about the security holes in the ePass system, the online application that allows you to login to Canadian government websites. It all started when I noticed some fundamental flaws in the Canadian passport website after Chris had already exposed last April how generally frustrating it is to use.

Cup chicks t-shirt

By Jonathan + December 6th, 2007

How does Busted Tees produce these so quickly!?…and why are 2g1rls1cup everywhere all-of-a-sudden? I’m not complaining, because it’s a great video. Good, clean family fun. And yes, there’s no way in hell I’m linking to it from here. I’m already banned by Trendmicro

The Maple Leafs are my favorite squadron

When NOT to start an online store

Today I was asked by a client how to start an e-commerce store on their website. I’ve shown them the Wordpress e-commerce plugin in the past. [...] Read the rest »
