Gimme a break! Bell is charging me $2.80/month for “Touch-Tone service”? Are you guys complete idiots? At least add that amount to the line price. Don’t bullshit me with “Touch-Tone service”, as if a telephone line would be worth anything without that. Jerks.
The only reason I have their stupid phone is so I can use the buzzer in my building. With the amount of Swiss Chalet I order, I would spend all my time running down to let in delivery-guys without it

I’ve got Embarq service and the charge must be embedded because I can find no separate charge for touch tone. Anyone know where it’s hidden in an “Embarq” bill?
How much is your “network” charge?
I’m talking about Bell Canada so maybe it’s different in the States.
My grandfather actually saw this on his bill probably 5-10 years ago and called them about it. He asked to have his phone line switched to rotary because he doesn’t care about having a touch tone phone anyway (or maybe he didn’t even have one), and they said they couldn’t do that – so even if you don’t use it, you still have to pay.
Also, can’t your buzzer be hooked to your cell phone? Mine and Matt’s both are..
